I’ve noticed my cat will walk around and when it sniffs the rug sometimes it’s mouth opens just a little and stays that way for a few seconds. Anyone know why?

I have owned many cats in my lifetime, and I have seriously NEVER had a cat vomit or hairball on the floor where it is nice and easy to clean up – they ALWAYS insist on doing it on the rugs, where it is a big icky mess that always leaves a lovely stain!

Why do they do this? Does anyone have any stories, theories?

My cats continually throw the rugs out of place that I have on my slippery wood floor while they’re wrestling around.

We have tried washing the new bathroom rug in odor ban, and have sprayed it with febreeze, we have checked the litter box to see if it is full, and have tried changing it, and have chastized the cat when caught in the act…nothing works. It used to only go in the litterbox.

My cat is female. She was spayed and declawed a month or so ago. She has peed on the bathroom floor and bath rug. We through away one rug when we moved to our new apt and she was fine. I put down the new rug and before we could even get use of it, she peed on it. This is very frustrating and I don’t know what to do. Any suggestions?

My cat is always clawing at the carpet. At night, I have my door closed and she always wants to come sleep on my bed with me. She’ll continuously claw at the carpet by the door until I open it.
The carpet looks terrible and there is a spots with absolutely not carpet now, because of her.

What can I do to keep her from clawing up carpet? It’s ridiculously frustrating at this point.

Our cat, Steve, don’t look at me like that, the shelter named him, is tearing up the rugs for no particular reason than to just scratch up the rug. We’ve tried everything, but he is annoyingly persistent in everything he does, and keeps tearing up the rugs in any possible corner he can find. My mom and I are both extremely frustrated at this.

Any solutions you guys and girls can give us? Thank you so much in advance!

Our male cat (4 years) steps by any of the three litter boxes he shares with his sister and decides to urinate or defecate on teh floor or rug. What can I do to get him to stop? I have a young son that will be crawling in the coming months and this could get ugly?

He only poops when the door is open, other than that he uses his littler box. ( little box is cleaned 2 x a day.) He does this even when we wash and bleach the rug. WHY!
* Did not have little box in the bathroom.* I think he does this because he gets so spoiled and when he doesn’t get his way he does this out of spite. *
