I just moved into a new rental home. Unfortunately there is butt ugly forest green carpet in the living area, hall, and bedrooms. I could probably deal with it in the bedrooms but my living room? Oh no. No way. Anybody have a good solution? I tried to pull it up; can’t really tell if there is anything under there. The landlord doesnt care what i do…as long as i pay for it…and no im not getting new carpet laid; It is a rental after all.

Considering carpet or foam mats for family room in basement leading to outdoor patio and hallway leading to stairs and basement master bedroom. Need economical suggestions that can be replaced in about 10 years with hardwood flooring. Dogs use this area everyday to go outside. Shephard is always dirty. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated

I’m going to paint my room a lightish pink. I’m kind of thinking about a brown carpet and then have pink and brown bedding but I’m not sure how that would look.

I have had grey carpet and i don’t like it, what other color carpets go with pink?

How much warmer does a carpet make a room?

How much warmer does a carpet make a room verses a floor?
We are refurbishing our sun room because the pipe froze then burst. The wife wants to take the heating out and put floors in and only make it a 3 season room. I don’t mind the floor, but I want the heat restored. However, if we have the heat restored then we should have the carpet put back in instead of the carpet.

Who would have a carpet versus a floor put in?

Who would take the heat out or keep it in?

I am looking for a new floor rug and would like to buy it online. Has anyone had any experience purchasing something like this online? Can you recommend any site in particular? Looking for inexpensive to moderately priced items. Hopefully they will ship to Canada, or is a Canadian site! Thanks, for your info.

We had an outdoor rug made of polypropylene that received lots of direct sunshine — it disintegrated in less than one season last summer. We’re looking for a new outdoor rug — any recommendations on a more durable, yet comfortable composition?

Thanks in advance!

I don’t know how old this rug is but it’s in good condition. The hair on the rug is frayed in parts. I think I need a gentle cleaner for this project. And would a steam cleaner using a gentle detergent be too harsh for it? Would a chemical cleaner like Woolite be too harsh for it?

Zack E asked:

Hi, I purchased a Logan Stone couch and loveseat. If you type “Logan Stone” into a search engine my furniture should pop up. The bottom of the couch is a dark brown leather. The seat cushions are beige and the back of the couch’s cushions are beige, light brown, and medium brown. So many shades of brown! Anyways, the house we are moving into has parquet flooring and I need help deciding what color area rug to lay down. Any suggestions for color? Or should I do pattered or solid? Thanks!
