It has worked for me, though we just got a new cat and I've ceased caring about the rug now. And though this was unasked for, I can't help myself -- I cleaned and redecorated/updated my boyfriend's place a few years ago. I am now moving out and face the conundrum of what I can take without being a jerk. I hope you saved everything you replaced so you can do the old switcheroo in case things go south. I can't just take all the curtains, half the furniture, and leave the walls bare. Please be careful!
