How do I stop a fluffy rug from malting?

I have this really nice red fluffy rug in my room, but now as a result the clue carpet has turned red. How do I stop the rug from malting everywhere, as I can’t hoover the fluff up either, I just have to individually pick each bit of fluff from the carpet! Help please!

    You could try using a carpet shampoo on it- the spray type.Leave it for a while then go over the rug with an old damp cloth. The hoover it. Good luck! meecymousy

    You don’t say if your red rug is new or not. A lot of times rugs will stop shedding after a month of use and/or vacuuming. A professional cleaning may help as well, but I wouldn’t resort to that until the rug has been used for a while. Jahann and Sons Persian Rugs
