Chelsea asked:

There was water spilled all over my carpet the other day, and didn’t have time to suck it up with the carpet shampooer. And, it had a terrible strong mildew smell. I shampooed it 3-5 times yesterday using a carpet shampooer. And, sucked it out of the carpet really good. However, I can still really smell it! Is it okay to shampoo again? Is there some other technique that works for mold in carpet? Thanks!

I guess this is wall-to-wall carpet and you can’t lift it to let it dry???
In that case I would set a fan in front of it and let it get really dry…then sprinkle some baking soda on and vacuum after it has time to soak up some of the odor. May have to do this more than once. Main thing is to get it dry or it will continue to mildew. Grandma

Go to your local “wal mart ” or “target” and get a bottle of ODO-BAN. It’s in a white spray bottle. It works great. Be sure to let the carpet dry, but this stuff works miracles!!! gwensuzwill
