He only poops when the door is open, other than that he uses his littler box. ( little box is cleaned 2 x a day.) He does this even when we wash and bleach the rug. WHY!
* Did not have little box in the bathroom.* I think he does this because he gets so spoiled and when he doesn’t get his way he does this out of spite. *

I am talking about the one right next to the toilet. I wash this rug like once a month but it usually smells (toilet discharge etc…yuck!). What should I use to eliminate the odor? I have an air freshener inside the bathroom but that doesn’t help. We have no windows inside the toilet either…

I also would like to know how often I should wash that and also let me know if febreeze Fabric Spray will help…

Thanks!

My 2 year old female has taken up the habit of scratching and soiling rugs in our bathroom. We wash or replace the rug, but she keeps doing it! We also clean out the litterbox everyday, and wash it once a week. She also has multiple scratching posts, toys, etc. She eats only hard food and has clean water on a daily basis. We also have 1 other male cat who is 3. Please help! NO STUPID ANSWERS!

why does my cat pee on the bathroom rug?

I keep a super clean litter box, sometimes she goes in it sometimes she doesn’t. The bath rug is literally a foot away from her litter box. She’s 1yrs old, fixed and is good behaved except for that. Ive washed the rugs, got new ones, tried different material rugs, everything… the rugs have all had rubber backing. I remember I had a rug w/ out the rubber backing & I don’t think she pee’d on that 1. Could it be the rubber or something? We moved a few months back could that be a reason?
