you could try bicarbonate of soda and once he is trained to go outside i would suggest changing the carpets completely as the smell will only confuse him and make him do it again…. animaldegu

I would suggest having the carpets professionally treated and cleaned. Hogman

First your puppy may have an upset stomach so feed him a bland diet of hamburger and rice or lamb and rice for a while. Keep him away from bones or rawhide, too. Puppies get into everything and have delicate systems. Nature’s Miracle works really well on stains and odor. I have 3 cats and a dog and I love it. It has an enzyme in it the basically digests the stains and odors and is safe for most carpet. Just test a spot in an out of the way place. Good luck. Romie B

I have two kids, two dogs, and am down to three cats we had five inside at one time, oh and of course a husband.

When I have to clean up after them, I take a bucket, rubber gloves and a scrub brush. I have been using pine-sol. I scrub the carpet, then I have a carpet scrubber that I can use to rinse with water, and it extracts the water. Once all that is done, what I use that really gets odors out is a “Shark steamer”. I got one at Lowe’s. I get the extra warranty because I have gone through three of them already, they tend to overheat. The warranty replaces them with a new one. The run about $99, but it’s worth it to me with all these pets and kids. I use it after I scrub my carpets and it really gets rid of odors. It works really good on upholstry, too. MumZ
