Be sure to blot the urine with towels to dry the rug as much as possible before cleaning.
For a natural cleaning solution, mix together a cup of hydrogen peroxide (available in the first aid section of the grocery/drug store), 2 Tablespoons of baking soda and a couple drops of liquid dish detergent. Put the mixture in a spray bottle. Spray the area until it is soaking wet. Let it stand 10-15 minutes and pat dry with an absorbent rag or towel. Treat again if necessary.
