		<description>Without the carpet you may notice a little more noise, both from the road and from your stereo.  You may also have a little bit of rattling.  Overall I don&#039;t think it would make a huge difference.  

If you added rhino lining or similar material that should help to dampen the metal a little bit which would improve sound quality.  It would also be durable for everyday use.

Its a Wrangler the most open of all vehicles. lol.

Something is always better than nothing. I would pull the carpet out and put a thick layer of Rhino (or other) lining down. Easy cleanup when you get it dirty inside.
